What’s new
We’re always improving.
Here’s what’s changed.
FieldLogicHQ gets better every few weeks — from first registration to final standings. Here’s what’s new lately, and a look at what we’re building next.

Recent updates
Reuse a lineup from another game, your payees in one window, and a clearer Ledger
- NewIn the lineup builder, Copy from reuses another game's lineup or one of your templates. Bring across just the batting order, or the order and positions. Copy from, Print and Save as template now sit under Tools, and Save as template can replace one you already have (it asks first).
- NewSave over a practice template, a drill or a circuit by saving it under the same name. It asks first, and your upcoming practices pick up an updated drill.
- NewGive an award now asks which game or event it's for, listing the season's events newest first. A game still waiting for its score says so. If the award looks like one you've already given, you'll see which one before you save.
- NewMoney → Ledger → Tools → Payees opens all your payees in one window. Open a payee to see what you've paid them this season, what's still to pay and what's next due, with their entries underneath. Rename, merge or delete your team's payees from there.
- ImprovedThe Ledger is easier to read. Each row shows its day, the opening and closing balance lines carry their full dates, and less-used tools sit under Tools. Open any row to read it; a dues or fundraising row tells you where to change it.
- ImprovedOn a phone, the Ledger's filters sit behind one Filter button that counts what you've changed, with Reset to put them back, so more of the screen shows your entries.
- ImprovedThe Ledger's Balance column shows only while every entry that changes it is on screen. Filter some out and it steps aside, so the running total you see always adds up.
- ImprovedBudget vs. Actual opens on four figures: Collected, Spent, Off-plan and Cash on hand. Headroom and Season end are gone. Headroom repeated Spent, and Season end set dues still to come against only the bills entered so far, which could overstate what you'd have left.
- ImprovedIn the Ledger, dues payments show "Player dues" as their Category and a family refund shows "Dues credits paid out", instead of a dash.
- ImprovedTournament Teams has one toolbar in every division, with less-used actions under Tools. A team opens to read and switches to editing as a whole, teams waiting on your decision show as a count, and Export is one button.
- ImprovedTeams and Communications now match the rest of your admin. A record's window names the previous and next record and where you are in the list.
- ImprovedAdmin menus now list only the pages you can open, and page titles no longer repeat your organization's name.
- FixedAn announcement to your teams now emails your accepted teams only, as the composer says. It had also reached teams you'd rejected, waitlisted or not yet decided on. Emailing teams in other statuses is part of choosing your audience on Tournament Plus, and each email now keeps a list of who it reached.
- FixedYour team Overview's Budget tile now shows your budget when you built it line by line. It had read "Not set".
- FixedSmaller fixes: phones keep their own fading scrollbar, a window's scrollbar runs down its edge, a link inside a window (like Open Player Dues) takes you there, and a payee's or bill's Next due shows the amount with its date underneath.
One tap to any score on game day, tidier lists on your phone, and fundraising named in your ledger
- ImprovedOn game day, your tournament dashboard starts with what needs you: scores waiting to be finalized, then games still missing a score, then what's playing and what's next. Tap a game and its score box opens — one tap, where it used to take five.
- ImprovedResults opens on the games that still need a score or a final check, in every division, instead of the first division's full list. Tap anywhere on a row to edit it. A waiting score has one Finalize button, and a tie now says Tie.
- ImprovedResults and Check-in update on their own. A score a scorekeeper submits, or a team another volunteer checks in at the gate, shows up without a reload.
- ImprovedCheck-in's counts are now its filter — All, Not arrived, Checked in, No-show — the same four buttons your gate volunteers use, with All chosen when it opens. How many teams still owe money sits just below. On a phone, each team has one Check in button, and No-show is in the team's sheet.
- ImprovedEvery game-day screen now calls a game the same thing: Needs a score, Pending Review, Final, Forfeit or Tie.
- FixedA round of tournament fixes: archiving an event now tells you its public site goes offline and how to bring it back; every button on Teams fits on a phone; Accept and Reject say whether an email will go out, and to whom; and Summary's leader is the team your public standings put first, with no leader until a game is played.
- FixedOn Teams, each pool and the Waitlist sit on one white card again, heading and teams together.
- ImprovedOn a phone, the coaches portal's lists — Roster, Practice plans, Lineups, Player Dues, the Scouting Book and more — now sit in one frame with a line between rows, the way Schedule already did. The roster is a compact table of number, player and positions; its call buttons are gone, and parents' numbers are still on each player's page.
- ImprovedOn the depth chart, tap a player and their positions open full-screen on a phone. Put their Best positions in order by dragging — on the player's page too, on any screen.
- NewMoney → Ledger now names your fundraising: sponsorship and fundraiser rows show their Category and Item, money a player hands in from a fundraiser names that player, and a sponsor's cheque says which families it was credited to.
- ImprovedThe Ledger export adds a Player column, naming the player on every dues and fundraising row. It's added at the end, so the columns you already use stay where they are.
- FixedThe depth chart's save message no longer sticks on "Unsaved changes" when your changes cancel each other out.
One look for your whole admin, Warm or Dark, plus pairs and groups for any drill, practice plans on your phone, and awards at any event
- ImprovedYour organization's admin now wears the same look as the coaches portal, across tournament, club and house-league screens and the admin's help. It opens in the Warm look unless you've already chosen Dark; switch any time from Account → Appearance or the theme toggle in the account menu. The scorekeeper and gate screens get the new look too, always in Warm, so a shared phone at the field reads the same for everyone.
- ImprovedYour organization's own colours stay right where they matter: your public tournament and club pages (and the admin's previews of them) keep showing them, while the admin's working screens follow your Warm or Dark choice.
- ImprovedThe coaches portal help guide and the "?" help panel now follow your Warm or Dark choice too, instead of always showing dark.
- FixedOn tournament plans, the Premium Coaches Portal card on Plan & billing now correctly shows as open, with a "Start your Coaches Portal" button. It had been stuck on a "coming soon" message since the portal opened.
- NewSplit a practice into pairs or groups anywhere you list players: warm-up partners, pitcher-and-catcher batteries at their own station, or the groups a circuit rotates. The practice keeps one list of tonight's groups, so moving a late arrival into a pair updates every drill that uses it. You can reuse groups from another practice, and the pairs show on the run screen and the printed sheet.
- NewPractice plans now work on a phone: the plan reads as a list, each block opens on its own screen, the rotation table fits, and the last block or station offers to add the next one.
- NewDuring practice, Run practice fills your phone with a step-through bar at the bottom, and a circuit remembers which round it's on while you run it.
- NewGive an award at a practice, a team event or a tournament, not just a game, and every award says what it was for. The Awards report fits a phone, and certificates print one to a page.
- NewRecord an observation before your team has any skills set up: "+ New skill…" adds one right from the form.
- NewEvery event on your schedule reads the same way: what, when and where, then its jobs (lineup, attendance, practice plan), each showing where it stands. Attendance opens on its own screen with the whole roster at once.
- ImprovedA cancelled Premium Coaches Portal team is now kept for a full year. The cancellation email gives the exact date, and resubscribing brings back the same team, with nothing to rebuild.
- ImprovedMore of the coach portal fits a phone: a player's record reads first with Edit on each section, tapping a player's name switches players, reports read down their columns, the season scoreboard sits on one card, and a notification opens with a tap.
- ImprovedOn a phone, a practice page opens with where and when to arrive, and Send to staff lives in the ⋯ menu.
- ImprovedHouse-league registration and tryout sign-up now limit rapid repeat submissions, to keep a family's inbox from being flooded with confirmation emails.
- ImprovedThe bottom bar reads clearly in the Dark look, and cards in the Warm look lose their heavy shadow.
- FixedClub and league admin controls that had stopped working are back: searching and adding payees on a money entry, adding budget items and categories, the audit log, roster links and payment reminders.
- FixedCalendar downloads now put an evening event on the right day and show a cancelled game as cancelled, on both the coach schedule and the house-league schedule.
- FixedA tap on the bottom bar no longer gets lost under an open menu.
Coaching from a phone, a borrowed player for one game, and a sponsorship that shows where its money went
- NewYour schedule, game-day lineups, and practice plans now open on a phone the way they do on a laptop — today's game or practice first, a lineup you build one inning at a time with big touch-friendly panels, and a practice plan whose skills list fits the screen with a save button you can actually reach.
- NewThe bench console you use during a game — Who's here, notes, the full grid, End game — now works properly on a phone: every button stays within reach as you scroll, and moving a player between the field and the bench is one tap. Recording the final score moved to one line under the lineup, once the game's done.
- NewMoney screens fit a phone screen too — the season summary and the Budget Plan open without part of the page hidden below the bottom bar.
- NewShort a player for one game? Call one up. Pick anyone from your season's pool (or add someone new) and they show up in that game's lineup and printed card only — never in dues, skills tracking, awards, or next season's rollover.
- NewThe printable development handout now shows every section, even ones a player has nothing in yet — an empty goals or evaluation section says what to add instead of vanishing.
- NewA sponsorship credit can now say which family's payments it covers, right where you record it.
- NewRecording a sponsor's payment now takes one step instead of several.
- New"Remind this family" sends a specific letter about the family's next unpaid payment — never the whole season's balance — with a preview before it goes out.
- NewMoney by Month's detail panel narrows to just the day you tapped, and the running total for the period stays visible while you're entering a line.
- NewTyping an opponent's name now searches your scouting book — pick a team you've played before and the spelling matches everywhere it appears.
- NewCards and forms throughout the coach portal now use a flatter, more consistent look — no tinted backgrounds.
- ImprovedEditing a lineup's Setup, Templates, or calling up a player on a phone — a stray tap on Schedule or another tab can no longer bump you out mid-edit; the rest of the app waits until you're done.
- ImprovedRecording a testing session on a phone is quicker: each row is just the player's name and their score boxes, and the Review session button appears once everyone's accounted for, right where your thumb already is.
- ImprovedThe lineup builder's toolbar is tidier on a phone: Setup and Auto-fill now share one button, and calling up a player lives right in the toolbar instead of a separate step.
- FixedField numbers now read clearly everywhere they show up — "Diamond 1" instead of a bare "1."
- FixedThe season Total column always reflects the full season now, regardless of which view you're in.
- FixedThe Scouting Book page for an opponent is available as soon as a game is scheduled, not only after it's been played.
- FixedMarking a player ‘not assessed’ from a testing session's review screen now waits for the save to finish before you can leave — and tells you clearly if it didn't go through.
- FixedThe Budget Plan's phone summary no longer briefly shows ‘0 lines’ before your budget loads.
A place book for your schedule, scrimmages made simple, and a cleaner first screen on your phone
- NewOn a phone, the coach portal opens cleaner: More slides up as a sheet, every screen keeps one slim team line at the top, and the Overview is six rows that fit on one screen. Have more than one team? Tap the team name to switch.
- NewYour team keeps a book of places. Start typing in Location and pick a park or arena you've used before — the address and usual field fill in — or add a new one on the spot. Every place you've ever scheduled is already in it.
- NewArrival time is a lead time — 15 minutes to 2 hours before the start, with the clock beside each — and Team settings keeps your usual lead time for games and practices, so every new event starts with it filled in.
- NewA scrimmage is a game with a box ticked. One Game type, one line — "This is a scrimmage" — on add or edit, before or after a score. It stays on the schedule and in attendance, never counts toward your season record, and your record reads the same everywhere it appears.
- NewMark a lineup Ready with innings still open. Coaches fill a few innings and adjust at the field, so Ready no longer waits for every cell — only a real conflict blocks it. The button counts what's open, the Ready strip names the innings, and a change at game time no longer drops it back to Draft.
- NewSend a practice plan to just the people you pick. A fourth choice under Send to staff — tick the names, and the sent line names them — for the assistant who reads it over before the group gets it.
- NewPrint the dugout poster in portrait for a clipboard. A Landscape · Portrait switch on the Print menu; the sheet reads Order · No. · Player, names the team once with the crest, and marks HOME or AWAY.
- ImprovedAdding an event is one form, the same shape for every kind: the date asked once, Home/Away beside Opponent, and the extras (field, uniform, tags, links, notes) tucked under More.
- ImprovedYour budget starts the month you opened the season, not in January. Open a season in September for winter training and you can budget from September; Fill the season lays out the twelve months from there, and a pasted spreadsheet lands its months in the right year.
- ImprovedThe lineup builder shows one status banner above the grid — one mark, one sentence, one door into the Lineup check — instead of a stack of warnings.
- ImprovedThe autosave word appears only when there's something to say — Unsaved changes, Saving…, Saved — and fades after a save. Only an error stays until you deal with it.
- ImprovedOn a practice station, Staff and Players come first, then what they'll do — the same order the printed sheet and the field screen already read.
- ImprovedAfter a game, Email families opens a blank message again — the pre-written draft is gone — and games are no longer shared one at a time by link. Your public team page is unchanged.
- FixedThe Budget Plan toolbar, the Budget vs Actual Export button, Fundraising's section headings and the Club tab's overdue count look the way they should again.
- FixedA long team name no longer runs under the record on a phone.
- FixedThe Staff picker on a practice station no longer gets cut off inside the block.
Practice plans, Skills & Goals and lineups, rebuilt — plus host your own team in your tournament
- NewPractice plans, rebuilt end to end. Build a plan as a real document — set the time, drag blocks in, and pull a drill or a saved "circuit" (a set of rotating stations) from your library docked right beside the plan. Save any block as a template or a drill for next time. Print the finished plan, or open it on the field as a simple list you work through one stop at a time.
- NewStaff tags can now be linked to a real coach on your team, so "You're on…" means something — send tonight's plan to your staff and each person sees exactly which blocks and stations are theirs.
- NewA finished practice becomes a permanent record afterward — the plan you wrote and how it actually went, in one place.
- NewSkills & Goals, redesigned. A new Overview dashboard, clearer test definitions, and sessions where you plan how many attempts you'll run for each test before you start. Record what you saw for a skill right from the session grid.
- NewA player's Goals and Results are now two clear views — review a goal in place, record a result with every attempt kept (not just the best), and print a handout for the family.
- NewTeam Progress — a new report under Insights → Development shows how the whole team is trending on each measurement, never ranking individual players against each other.
- NewAdd your own team to your tournament in one click, with no separate registration — for coaches who also run the event.
- NewLineups now say where they actually stand. Every game reads Not started, Draft, Ready or Needs review — on the Lineups page, the team Overview and the schedule. When a lineup is done, mark it Ready; the product records who and when, and any later edit puts it back to Draft, so anyone on staff who opens a Ready lineup knows nothing has changed since.
- NewTap any inning number to open that inning as a list: every position, who's in it and where they sit on your depth chart, who's on the bench, and what's still open — with Assign, Swap, Keep and Leave open right there. If the lineup needs review, it names the reason, not a guess.
- NewAuto-fill explains itself. Hover or tap a filled cell to see why that player landed there — best at the position, their turn in the rotation, or the only pitcher still available — and a mound left empty because every pitcher is at their cap says so.
- ImprovedA more consistent look across every list and table in the coach portal.
- ImprovedThe lineup builder is two tabs — Lineup and Playing time. On a phone, the batting number is now the handle: hold to drag a player up or down the order, or tap it to move or remove them.
- ImprovedThe Lineups page now opens like Practice plans: Games and Templates as tabs, your next game on top with one clear button, and a Needs lineup count that only counts games still ahead.
- ImprovedPrinting a dugout poster with open positions now warns you and names them first.
- FixedThe chat window no longer slides under the header when you open a conversation.
- FixedEasier-to-tap jump links on the practice run screen on a phone.
Player development, properly recorded — and two more jobs a head coach can hand off
- NewPlayer development, end to end. Define each thing you measure once — a timed sprint, a throw speed, a skill you watch for — with what "better" means for it. A testing session asks who’s here and what you’re testing before it opens, records every attempt (all three sprint times, not just the best), lets you mark a player not assessed, and keeps the original when you correct a number. Watch a skill and write down what you saw; review a goal on a date and keep the history. A player’s Development section reads as Goals, Results, Observations and Previous seasons.
- NewDevelopment reports that answer the question. Insights → Development is three reports behind one selector: who has been tested on what and when, a player’s progress on real dates with the change said in plain words, and a practice review. "Print summary" becomes Preview development handout — choose which goals, results and observations belong, write a next step, and print it for the player or their family.
- NewThe player page, in five tabs: Details · This season · Skills & Goals · Notes · Family & paperwork. Notes reads every dated line about a player — general notes, game and practice moments, observations — in one timeline, and you can add a note there. Switch to another player without going back to the list.
- NewRun tournaments, delegated. On the Premium Coaches Portal, a head coach can hand the team’s tournament to a manager or assistant with one switch. Tournaments you run now sit on the Tournaments page, with Manage taking you straight to that tournament’s dashboard.
- NewManage staff, delegated. A head coach can let a Team manager run the Staff page — invite, adjust and remove staff within what the head coach has set. Head coaches and roles stay the head coach’s alone.
- NewDevelopment access, one switch. Give an assistant or manager the Development switch and they can do every part of development work — sessions, results, goals, observations — without asking the head coach each time.
- NewExhibition tournaments. A third style beside Round robin + playoffs and Bracket only: games and standings, no playoff bracket — for a scrimmage day or an exhibition weekend. Bracket tools don’t appear, and the event is ready to finalize the moment the last score is in.
- NewThe budget plan reads revenue first. Revenue, then expenses, closing on Opening balance → Net → Closing balance in both views and both export files, with a helper that says what player dues need to be for the plan to balance.
- ImprovedThe depth chart has three states instead of four: a position is one of a player’s ranked Best spots, a Never, or blank — and blank means fine anywhere they’re not Never. The old "Okay" state behaved the same as blank; any Okay spots you had set are now low-ranked Bests, in the order you had them. The Auto-fill mode picker says what each mode does with your ratings, the pitcher rank is a one-tap dropdown, and the A-squad star explains itself.
- ImprovedAdjustments are bounded by the bill. A write-off can take a family’s bill to zero whatever they’ve already paid, and a bill can never be lowered beneath what’s already been forgiven on it. The statement shows the breakdown: Original charges → Adjustments & forgiveness → Dues.
- ImprovedSetting dues says what it does to the plan. The Player installments row opens Player Dues directly, and the Set-dues sheet tells you what a schedule will do to your budget plan wherever you open it from.
- ImprovedThe shareable family link is retired. Families join a team through the coach’s invite only. The Schedule visibility setting has moved to Team settings → Sharing.
- ImprovedTournaments are this season’s. The Schedule, the Tournaments page and the Overview tile show this season’s tournaments only — last season’s no longer follows you through a roll-forward.
- FixedImporting a budget spreadsheet with the same item on two rows now adds the second row to the line already there, instead of skipping it. And when an item or category can’t be removed, the remove button says why and what to do about it.
- FixedCoaching staff never count against a plan’s seat limit.
- FixedMoney dated more than two years out no longer disappears from the By-period grid; it sits under "No date yet" with a note saying so.
- FixedA duplicate award-name refusal is visible on a short screen instead of scrolling out of view, and a fast double-click can no longer merge awards twice.
- FixedA past practice plan with no recap reads one sentence instead of an empty box.
- FixedThe two "getting started" cards on an empty Tournaments page are now one card offering both doors.
A staff list with access set before the invite
- NewAdd coaching staff — assistants, managers, treasurers, or helpers — with their access already set before they ever open an invite. Resend or cancel a pending invite from the same list, and hand off head coach to someone else on your staff without leaving the team. Each role sees only what it’s given — a helper sees their schedule and station, nothing more.
- FixedThe opponent scouting log now opens as a quick form next to your notes, instead of sitting open on the page the whole time.
- FixedAward types like "MVP" or "Hustle Award" can be renamed, merged, or removed without losing the history behind them, and a given award can be corrected after the fact.
- FixedThe season budget now shows exactly how much of a family's dues have already been adjusted or forgiven, matching what the money report already says.
- FixedFixed budget spreadsheets re-importing as new duplicate cost lines instead of matching up with what was already there.
- FixedCleared up a couple of confusing lines in the money report and a collapsed budget category's heading.
Budget categories in one place, and a plan you can edit where you read it
- NewBudget categories and items now have their own place — search them, filter them, and add one without leaving the line you were building.
- NewA category or item carries one line per season. Choose it again and the amount is added to the line already there, instead of a second row appearing beside it.
- NewFigures in the By period view open the line behind them, so you can correct a number where you spotted it.
- NewPlayer installments now appear in the By period plan grid alongside everything else, and money owed back reads in brackets.
- NewA player can be recorded handing money in to a fundraiser more than once, and their total adds up across every hand-in.
- NewLowering a family's bill is recorded as a lower bill, not as money collected — so what you've actually taken in stays true.
- ImprovedMoney reports under the category it was filed in, on every screen and every spreadsheet.
- FixedClosing a help tip with the Escape key no longer closes the record open behind it.
- FixedAn assistant coach invitation now knows when you already have an account, instead of asking you to create a second one.
- FixedBudget plans export and import as the same file, including plans carrying both costs and funding.
- FixedReports no longer lose money that was paid back, and writing off a bill cannot swallow a refund.
- FixedFamilies with a repayment on their account can be ticked off the dues list again.
- FixedThe operator link on a public tournament page is readable on events using a light colour scheme.
Money that adds up, clearer dues, and a free 2027 season
- NewPlayer Dues now reads left to right — what each family owes, what they've raised, what they've paid, and what's left.
- NewFundraising and sponsorship money is recorded in one place, and every drive and sponsor names the budget line it's raising for — so it reports where you planned it.
- NewMoney the whole team raised together can now be recorded without naming a player.
- NewA club bill a family paid themselves now counts toward what that family has contributed to their dues.
- NewYour budget plan totals on the page — planned costs, planned funding and player installments each carry their own subtotal.
- NewAdding a budget line asks one question instead of two: pick the word, and it decides where the money reports.
- NewEvery budget line says when the money moves, so Budget vs. Actual compares the same months on both sides.
- NewTournament Plus and the Premium Coaches Portal are free through September 30, 2027 for anyone who signs up by December 31, 2026.
- ImprovedBills, club payments and fundraisers open over the list you were reading instead of on their own page, so you keep your place.
- ImprovedMoney figures open into the records behind them — including which sponsors made up a total.
- ImprovedReports and spreadsheets carry your club's mark, an opening page explaining the figures, and the caveats behind them.
- ImprovedThe Player Dues sheet fits eighteen families and its total on one printed page.
- ImprovedNotifications sit in your own portal frame, and one you've cleared stays cleared.
- FixedPaying a family back no longer offers you a debt that had already been settled.
- FixedGrants are filed as sponsorship, so a team that budgets its sponsorship properly gets the report it expected.
Simpler tags, clearer dues, and one place for bills
- NewOne tag picker works the same way everywhere — drills, equipment, and practice plans all use it, so a tag you create once shows up wherever it applies.
- NewFundraisers open right where you're working, with totals updating automatically as money comes in — no separate page.
- NewAn empty fundraiser can be deleted; one with real money on it is protected and can't be removed by accident.
- NewDues schedules now come straight from your season's installment plan, with a single credit that grows automatically as it's needed.
- NewSetting up dues shows you what's actually changing before you commit, so a rounding cent is never mistaken for a real shortfall.
- NewBills your team owes now live in one ledger, with a form built around how coaches actually track them.
- NewSponsorship payouts are tracked end-to-end, from pledge to cheque.
- NewThe account menu (profile, sign out) opens right where you are instead of sending you to a separate page.
- NewText throughout the coach portal is now more consistent — fewer sizes, easier to scan.
- FixedMoney paid back to a family now shows correctly in your monthly totals.
- FixedThe budget item picker no longer disappears when you scroll.
- FixedPage titles and help links are back on the Budget, Budget vs Actual, Dues, Expenses, Fundraisers, and Club screens.
- FixedThe Sponsorships summary now shows accurate totals.
- FixedThe bill schedule now uses one consistent format throughout.
One tap to decide a tryout — and money you can follow
- NewDeciding a tryout is one tap. Candidates sit in three piles — offered, waitlisted, released — and a name moves between them with a single tap. Change your mind and it moves back.
- NewThe offer letter is yours. An offer is usually a conversation and often conditional, so nothing generic goes out under your name — you decide what reaches the family, and when.
- NewNames on or off is a switch on every tryout screen, so you can evaluate blind and turn names back on without going looking for the control. A score now shows how it was reached.
- NewAdding a player yourself asks for everything the family's own registration form asks for, so a player you enter is as complete as one who registered.
- NewA bill you pay in parts has its own page. Record a deposit now and the balance later, see what it has paid against what it still owes, and correct any part of it in place.
- NewRecording a payment on a bill, you can say a family paid that piece directly — the deposit a parent puts on their own card. The bill comes down, no team cash moves for it, and that household is owed the money back against their dues. One bill can hold both: a payment the team made and a payment a family fronted.
- NewUndoing a payment, changing a schedule or deleting a cost now stops and explains itself when the change would leave a family out of pocket for money they fronted. Deleting a cost names the household and the amount before anything goes.
- NewEvery figure in the season's months opens. Open a number to see the families, drives, sponsors and requests behind it — the actual records, not a budget line. A season can also carry its balance forward into the next one.
- NewMoney exports open as real spreadsheets — headings, columns and figures Excel understands, instead of a flat list of text.
- NewPractice plans remember who runs a drill and what it needs. Staff and equipment become your team's own lists that fill in as you type, instead of free text retyped every week.
- NewPosters, lineup cards and brackets are built to be read at a glance from a distance — taped in a dugout, handed to an official, pinned to a fence. Available on Tournament Plus and above, and on the Premium Coaches Portal.
- NewThe tournament schedule prints like a weekend rather than a database, grouped by day and location the way someone reading it on a fence needs it. Available on Tournament Plus and above, and on the Premium Coaches Portal.
- ImprovedThe roster answers questions instead of listing names — who is available, what is missing, and what needs attention before the next game.
- ImprovedThe coach portal treats a tablet as a touch device, so buttons and spacing stay finger-sized instead of switching to a desktop layout too early.
- ImprovedThe way back out of any detail screen is an arrow in the page header, in the same place every time.
- ImprovedBudget vs. Actual opens on the report itself rather than on summaries stacked above it, and the season Statement explains why its total is not your bank balance.
- ImprovedEach screen has one clearly placed way to create something, and help now sits in the team bar.
- ImprovedTimes read the same way everywhere — 8:00 a.m. on every screen, export, poster and email.
- FixedA filter's count matches the list it produces — tick an option and you get exactly as many rows as it promised.
- FixedRecording a credit only offers the kinds that can actually be saved.
- FixedNaming the family who paid a bill directly now saves. Until this release the form asked the question and did not record the answer, so no credit was raised for that household.
- FixedTeam family access no longer reports itself as empty when it is not.
- FixedMoney screens load like the rest of the portal, without the flash.
One place to record money — and paperwork you can hand over
- NewRecording money starts from one button on any Money screen. Say what happened — a family paid, the bottle drive brought money in, you paid a bill — and it lands in the right place.
- NewBills can be paid in parts. Record a deposit now and the balance later, correct a payment entered by mistake, and see what a bill has actually paid against what it still owes.
- NewThree documents built to be handed to someone else: a roster for the dressing-room wall with birthdates and contact details left off, one family's statement with no other family's money on it, and a season register you can email to a treasurer. Available on the Premium Coaches Portal and Club.
- NewCoach documents carry your team's own name, crest and colours, set once in the team's document settings. Available on the Premium Coaches Portal and Club.
- NewTryout day runs on one screen — live board, check-in and scoring together. The printed check-in sheet matches the columns on the tablet.
- NewAdministrators can look up a family. A parent is one record that keeps every email address they have used, instead of an address re-typed onto each child.
- NewSeven coach reports in one place, including the attendance records behind a player's percentage and the positions a player has actually played.
- NewClosing a season gives you a single page for it — results, roster, practices and money for a finished year, with a season summary at the top.
- NewThe season's money reads month by month, with the running balance in view.
- ImprovedCoach navigation groups into sections that fold away, and on a phone the team bar names the team you are working in.
- ImprovedMoney can be filtered by date range, and a link you share carries that filter with it.
- ImprovedThe coach money screens now read properly on a phone.
- FixedUnsubscribing from club email means the same thing everywhere it is offered.
Every dollar has a date, a category, and a season
- NewTeam Money is now two screens. Transactions is what actually happened; Payables is what is still owed. Recording a payment and chasing one are no longer the same job.
- NewYour team now has one dated register — every payment in and out, in order, with a running balance that is the team's cash on hand.
- NewRecording money coming in asks three things: who it came from, what it was for, and which season it belongs to. Fundraising, sponsorship and club funding each land in the right place.
- NewYour budget is organised as categories and items, and spending uses the same names — so a budget line and the spending against it can never be labelled differently.
- NewEach budget name shows where it came from: one your team created, one your club shares, or one from the starter list. A name that records are already using can no longer be deleted out from under them.
- NewWhen a team is ready, it can fold its own budget names into the club's shared ones. The team decides when that happens, not the club.
- NewIf your team belongs to a club on FieldLogicHQ, a new Club tab shows where you stand with them — what has been approved, what has been paid, and what is outstanding. That money now counts in Budget vs. Actual.
- NewA money record can be corrected. Edit or delete one and every total that used it corrects itself.
- NewFinished seasons now read in place. There is no toggle and no separate archive — open your team and you see the season it is on, with last season's results, practice plans and insights where you would expect them.
- NewA finished season keeps the practices you ran, so last year's plan can start tonight's session.
- NewA tryout scorecard now shows what each category is worth as a share of the total, so you can see at a glance how the ranking is weighted.
- NewTryout setup is now a single checklist that tells you what is done and what to do next.
- ImprovedAttendance now has one home, alongside the rest of your reports in Insights.
- ImprovedThe coach sidebar keeps the same order every time you open it.
- ImprovedHelp guides are now a set of short articles rather than one long page, so you can go straight to the answer you need.
- FixedDifferent money screens could show different figures for the same season. They now all work from the same numbers.
- FixedOpening a tryout scorecard could change the weighting a coach had set. It now leaves your settings alone.
Team Money keeps the whole record
- NewEvery dues payment is now a record — date, method, and a note if you need one. The season's totals add themselves up from those payments, so there's no running total to keep by hand any more.
- NewPlayer Dues can now be read one installment at a time — see who's paid each installment across the whole team, and what's due next.
- NewFundraising money now comes off a family's actual installment, so the next thing you ask them for is already reduced.
- NewMoney that goes back out is now part of the record too — a credit handed back in cash, or a parent repaid after overpaying. At season's end, a single sheet shows every family's refund and how it was worked out.
- NewThe budget card on your team Overview now shows what you planned beside what you've actually spent.
- NewHelp now opens on the page you're already on, and long topics are a short menu of answers instead of one long page — with pictures of the screen being described.
- ImprovedThe tables across Team Money now all read and behave the same way, whichever one you're on.
- FixedThe game-day card on your team Overview no longer asks you to finish something you've already done.
The coach portal gets easier to find your way around
- NewEvery screen in the coach portal now opens the same way — team, season, and your role always show in the same place at the top, with one consistent way back to team home from anywhere.
- NewTeam Money is now one page with tabs instead of seven separate pages — switch between Overview, Dues, Budget, Expenses, Fundraisers, Allocations, and Payment Requests without losing your place.
- NewThe Money Overview now tells the story in three cards — what's been collected, what's on hand, and how the budget's tracking — plus a single day-by-day list of what's coming up in the next 30 days.
- NewThe live demos are easier to explore on any screen size — the guided tour and season banner tuck away as you scroll and reappear exactly when you need them, and finishing a tour lets you walk it again.
- FixedCoaching staff invites on the Team plan were being counted against a seat limit that every other plan is exempt from — fixed. Invite your whole staff; there's no cap.
- FixedText on the demos, homepage, and pricing pages that was too faint to read comfortably now meets accessibility contrast standards.
- FixedA past season's Money tab no longer shows today's upcoming payments — it now shows only what was actually due during that season, matching what the coach saw at the time.
- FixedThe demo banner no longer overlaps page content when you scroll, and "See it live" now goes straight into the demo instead of pausing on a login-style screen first.
No more guessing where the game is
- NewScheduling a game or practice now uses a field picker instead of a typed-in name — pick from your venue library, and if two things land on the same field at the same time, you'll see it before you save, not after.
- ImprovedIf your schedule still has games with a typed-in field name from before, you can now match them to a real venue in your library in a couple of clicks — so they're covered by double-booking checks too.
- NewThe homepage, product pages, and pricing now link straight into live, click-through demos of the tournament and coach experience — see the real product before you sign up for anything.
- FixedThe check-in board's search and filters now use the full width of the screen on a phone, so they're easier to tap.
- FixedFixed three check-in board issues: the date could get cut off on some screens, the Clear button could leave the board stuck, and one screen had no way back out.
Scorekeeper and check-in, built for the phone
- ImprovedScorekeeper and check-in now open straight onto the games instead of a screenful of setup. On a phone the day's counts stay in view, switching between scoring and the gate takes one tap, and the filters stay out of the way until you need them.
- ImprovedHelp now covers what happens if a subscription ends. Nothing is deleted — the guide walks through what stops, what's kept, and how everything comes back.
- FixedTryout registration now closes when an organization's subscription ends, along with the rest of its public pages.
New in the Coach Portal: scouting, club sharing, game day
- NewLog what you notice about an opponent after each game — it's all there, rolled up, before you play them again.
- NewIf another team in your club already scouted this opponent, you'll see their notes too — nobody starts from scratch twice.
- NewA bench console built for the dugout — track playing time as it happens, not from memory afterward.
- FixedFixed several help labels that screen readers were skipping over.
- FixedStatus colors are easier to read on light-colored cards.
The Coaches Portal grows up — plus one connected navigation and real desktop layouts
- NewTournament admin, the Coaches Portal, and public event pages now share one connected navigation, with a Workspaces switcher for anyone running more than one team, league, or tournament.
- NewCoaches Portal notifications now reach coaches' phones directly, and there's one way in instead of two.
- NewImport a season's schedule straight from a spreadsheet — game times now save to the exact minute you entered.
- NewAccount and Chat both got real desktop layouts: a proper settings screen with sections, and a full split-pane view for chat.
- NewCoaches can score their own tryouts directly, and families only get an email when the coach sends one.
- NewThe free Coaches Portal team Overview always shows the one tournament that matters right now, instead of two conflicting answers.
- NewPublic tournament pages gained a footer, a "Get the app" QR code, and organizer credit for paid-plan customers.
- NewA full treasurer view in the Coaches Portal: a month-by-month look at the books, a first-season budget starter, and team finances that read clearly on a phone.
- NewDecision emails to families are now the club's own choice to send, and applying no longer requires opting into marketing email.
- FixedA privacy issue where an assistant coach could see a child's confidential medical notes — and download the file it came from — is fixed. Access is now properly restricted.
- FixedThe Coaches Portal Development page is redesigned into clear sections instead of a wall of cards; a low-contrast text issue in warm theme is fixed.
- FixedThe coach money screen keeps its own budget total at the bottom, instead of asking for it four separate times.
- FixedThe coaching-staff screen no longer shows the same message three times.
- FixedThe Coaches Portal's More menu now scrolls properly and reads correctly in warm theme.
- FixedFixed a message on public tournament pages that wrongly told a paying customer's visitors the organizer hadn't finished setup.
- FixedMenus and popups can now be dismissed by tapping away on iPhone, and by pressing Escape on any device.
Season's End, real tournament tools, and faster role switching for coaches
- NewA one-time, 2-minute guided tour for coaches new to the portal — four quick stops (Squad, Season, Money, Communication). It's offered once and never pushed again after you skip it, but it's always sitting in Help if you want it later.
- NewEvery section of your portal now explains itself. Open Lineups, Insights, Documents, or any other empty section and it tells you what it does, what it unlocks elsewhere, and what you need first — right where you are, instead of a generic "nothing here."
- NewTournament games finally get real tools. A game from a real FieldLogicHQ tournament now works like any other game on your schedule — attendance, lineup builder, and it counts toward your season record. If the organizer moves or cancels it, your calendar and your saved lineup/attendance follow automatically — nothing to redo.
- NewAttendance has a real home now — its own item in your sidebar and phone menu, opening straight to "take attendance for your next game."
- NewAdd your whole roster at once. Paste your team list or upload a spreadsheet, review it in a table, fix anything, and add everyone in one tap — instead of one player at a time.
- NewThe Tournaments page now works for club/league-owned teams — tournaments your organization registers you for show up automatically, in a sensible order.
- NewSeason's End: when your season wraps up, you keep everything — final record, results, money — as a read-only lookback, never a locked door. It leads with a shareable Season Wrapped card (record, win streak, closest game, attendance, top award) you can send or post in one tap. You'll also get a gentle nudge once your season looks finished, pointing you toward closing it out.
- NewHolding two roles at one event (say, admin and coach)? The role-switch button now jumps straight to your other role in one tap, instead of routing you through the public site first.
- NewWhen an organizer moves or cancels one of your games, you — and any family following your team — now get notified, instead of finding out at the field.
- ImprovedForms are lighter. "Add player" and "Add game" now open with just the essentials; extra fields sit behind an optional "add more details" step.
- ImprovedSave buttons on mobile forms always stay above your phone's own navigation bar, so a tap never lands on the wrong control, and the mobile "More" menu always fits your screen.
- ImprovedStandings pages load faster, especially on busy events with lots of teams and games.
- ImprovedThe role-switch button never sends you to a page the organizer has taken down, or to an admin screen you don't have permission to open.
- ImprovedFree-tier coaches occasionally see a low-key note about what the Premium Coaches Portal offers — timed to natural moments like season's end, never during game day.
- FixedFixed a chat permissions issue so restricted staff can no longer read or moderate chat for events they aren't assigned to, and staff who leave or lose access no longer keep a seat in chat.
- FixedFixed the tournament chat sign-up reminder so repeat clicks can't re-email the same coaches, and it now tells you clearly whether it actually sent.
- FixedFixed schedule dropdown menus so they animate open smoothly instead of snapping into place.
A clearer tournament record page for coaches, plus registration and scheduling fixes
- NewYour tournament record page now shows your live standing once games start, and previews who else is registered before the schedule is out.
- NewAdd your whole schedule to your calendar in one tap — a snapshot, not a live sync, so re-tap it if the organizer reschedules a game.
- NewSchedules now show the organization's real logo and let you tap a venue name for directions.
- ImprovedRegistration now tells you upfront that a free Coaches Portal account comes with it, with an easy opt-out if you're just there to follow along — and if something goes wrong partway through, the error message now tells you exactly what happened instead of implying it worked.
- ImprovedYour tournament record page is now organized into four clear sections — status and payment, schedule, your team, and messages from the organizer — instead of one long scrolling list.
- FixedFixed the confirmation email so it links straight to your registration instead of a general list.
- FixedFixed a timezone bug where tournament status and payment due dates could be off by a few hours in the evening.
- FixedFixed a bug that silently blocked deleting a team once it had played a game.
- FixedFixed low-contrast text and missing borders on the error and page-not-found screens.
The free Coach Portal gets a warmer new look
- NewThe free Coach Portal now looks and navigates like the rest of your FieldLogicHQ account, instead of feeling like a separate app.
- ImprovedPolished the mobile top and bottom bars in the Coach Portal to match its new look.
- ImprovedBilling cancellations and downgrades now only affect the organization you're actually working in.
- ImprovedAdded safeguards so an organization can't end up with two active portals by accident.
- ImprovedStrengthened account security behind the scenes.
- FixedFixed a couple of visual glitches in the Coach Portal where headings and text could land on the wrong background color.
- FixedFixed an issue where some coaches could get stuck part-way through signing in to the Coach Portal with no way forward.
- FixedFixed an issue that could block some coaches from setting up their first organization.
- FixedFixed edge cases in league creation, account reinstatement, and cross-organization coaching that could leave an account in an inconsistent state.
A cleaner sign-in, and a smoother coach invite
- ImprovedThe sign-in, sign-up, and password-reset screens have a cleaner, more consistent look.
- FixedOpening a coach invite while signed in to a different account now walks you through it instead of showing a confusing error.
One-tap flips for coaches and scorekeepers
- NewCoaches: flip to the fan side in one tap — your tournament record now has the same ⇄ button admins use, landing on the event’s public page, with a one-tap way back.
- NewYour team Overview shows your live or upcoming tournament — name, dates, and a Fan view link — whenever your team is in one.
- NewScorekeepers get a ⇄ Public site button in their header to confirm a posted score on the public schedule — with a quick chooser when two events run on the same day.
- FixedCleaned up hard-to-read text and badge colors in the Warm theme on coach pages and chat.
- FixedThe coach schedule’s month heading no longer shows the wrong month in some time zones, and tryout cards no longer blink out while loading.
- FixedAlert buttons no longer get stuck on “Turning on…” — if this device can’t receive notifications, they now say so.
A warmer look, a simpler home, and the Coaches Portal founding season
- NewPick your look: choose a Warm (light) or Dark theme under Account → Appearance. It applies across the whole app and your coaches workspace and follows you between devices. Warm is the new default.
- NewA simpler home: the app is organized around four tabs — Home, Scores, Chat, and Account — with a cleaner, warmer Home to start from.
- NewFollow tournaments and organizations: tap Follow to keep an event or club on your Home and Scores. No account needed.
- NewCoaches Portal founding season: coaches get the full Coaches Portal free through the founding season, with a warmer, simpler sign-up.
- NewPause notifications: one switch to mute everything when you need a break, and turn it back on when you are ready.
- ImprovedSmoother game day: more dependable chat, notifications, and scorekeeper hand-offs across the tournament experience, plus one consistent navigation across tournament pages.
- ImprovedMobile polish: cleaner game and team pages, following, and scores on phones.
- FixedMobile sign-in and navigation: sign in works on the first tap in Safari, Sign out is back in the tournament “More” menu, the keyboard no longer covers what you are typing, and long lists on Following and Scores no longer overflow.
Follow your team from any device and get score alerts — plus a mobile makeover for tournament pages
- NewFans can now create a free FieldLogicHQ account to follow teams across every device and get score alerts — following teams and watching live scores still needs no account at all.
- NewTournament pages got a full mobile makeover — schedules, standings, brackets, and team pages are easier to read and use on a phone.
- NewIn the Premium Coaches Portal, coaches can now track each player’s goals and skill-test results over a season, see a returning player’s history from prior seasons, and print a summary to share with families.
- NewIn the Premium Coaches Portal, coaches can now give season awards — MVP, Best Hitter, and more — that show up right on a player’s profile.
- NewCoaches can tag games and expenses and share one tag library across every team.
- NewNotification settings are now in one place — coaches can turn off the weekly Insights email digest, and every account gets a single settings page for what they receive.
- NewFieldLogicHQ now installs as one app everywhere — no more separate icons to install per tournament.
- FixedFixed a bug where a coach unsubscribing from emails could accidentally unsubscribe their whole organization too.
- FixedFixed layout and filtering issues on the Discover, Scores, and Account pages.
- FixedFixed a security issue in the account sign-in flow.
- FixedFixed an issue that could prevent a new organization from choosing certain website addresses.
See what stands out in your season — and a tie-breaker fix for standings
- NewIn the Premium Coaches Portal, the Insights tab has been rebuilt into a season dashboard: your record, streak, run differential, close games, attendance, and dues at a glance, plus a ranked list of what stands out about your season and two new reports — a full game log and a fairness check on playing time.
- FixedFixed a bug where standings on some tournaments could rank teams using the wrong tie-breaker order instead of the one set in Event Settings.
Two health checks that catch problems early — and a rebuilt Money section for coaches
- NewYour Registrations page now opens with a quick health check — missing coach emails, payment issues, backlog, and capacity all flagged at a glance, so nothing slips through before your tournament starts.
- NewYour Playoffs tab now looks ahead: rest days and back-to-back games are tracked through bracket rounds that haven’t been decided yet, not just the ones already locked in.
- NewIn the Premium Coaches Portal, the Money section has been rebuilt around your season’s real cash position — clear totals for money in, out, and on hand, a Plan → Collect → Spend → Review flow, and a Budget vs. Actual export.
- NewAlso in the Premium Coaches Portal, you can now tag games with your own labels — like "Top in the province" — to organize and track your season your way.
- NewAlso in the Premium Coaches Portal, the Lineups tool adds season-long stats and a standalone lineup builder that reconciles automatically with attendance.
- ImprovedThe dashboard guidance panel now collapses before your event starts too (not just after), and mobile text no longer gets cut off.
- FixedFixed a bug where the keyboard could hide earlier messages in your tournament chat on mobile — you can now scroll up to see the full conversation while typing.
Move a rained-out day in one tap — and a sharper Coaches Portal
- NewRained out? You can now move or cancel a whole day’s games at once. Pick the games, push them back or call them off in one step, and the schedule — plus every affected coach’s game-day reminder — updates on its own. (Tournament Plus and up.)
- NewFans can now follow a tournament for day-of updates: a notification bell, plus optional push notifications, for announcements like rain delays and schedule changes.
- NewSee who’s joined your tournament chat, and nudge the rest — a new view shows how many coaches are in, with a one-tap reminder to those who haven’t signed in yet. (Tournament Plus and up.)
- NewCoaches get a “haven’t paid yet” list — see who still owes and send a payment reminder in one tap.
- NewThe coach Season Review now compares this season to last.
- ImprovedA rebuilt Coaches Portal menu that groups everything where you’d look for it.
- ImprovedMore reliable season attendance tracking.
- FixedAssistant coaches now see only what they should — tightened Coaches Portal permissions around team finances and personal details.
Calmer notifications, a smarter sign-up, and a one-click finish
- NewYour notifications are calmer now. The bell pins anything that needs a decision from you — a failed payment, an access request, a disputed score — at the top under “Needs attention,” and everything else drops into a tidy feed grouped by Today, Yesterday, and Earlier, with repeats rolled into a single line you can open in a tap. It opens on unread, so reading something clears it — an inbox you can actually empty — and a new “See all” page holds your full history. Admins and coaches both get it.
- NewInvited someone who accidentally started their own organization instead of accepting the invite? The sign-up screen now spots their email and offers to send their invitation link again — so they end up in your organization, not a new one of their own.
- NewYour tournament dashboard now walks you to the finish. When every game’s in, it shows a “Ready to finalize” prompt with a one-click Mark tournament complete — so you can close out right from the dashboard.
- ImprovedYour game-day progress meter now reaches 100% the moment every game is decided — including games settled by forfeit — so it lines up with the “Ready to finalize” prompt.
- ImprovedYour public tournament page now wraps up on its own once the games are done. The moment the champion’s decided — or every game in a round-robin has been played — it switches to a finished view with the champions and the closing standings, and tucks away the live game-day sections. There’s no need to mark the tournament complete first — that stays an optional step for locking in your records.
Crown your champions — and set your pools by hand
- NewThe end of your tournament is now a moment too. The instant your playoffs finish and a champion is decided, your public home page turns into a Champions celebration, and a shareable Champions recap page goes live with the winners, runners-up, and final standings. A one-time “Champions crowned” alert goes out to your staff and to fans following with score alerts on (Tournament Plus and above). It all runs off the scores you already enter — there’s no extra step. And if your tournament uses tiered brackets, the winner shown is now always the team that took the top bracket.
- NewYou can now set your pools by hand right on the Teams page — assign any team to a pool from its row, or move a whole batch at once with Select Many. Every pool now stays visible even when it’s empty, so it’s always clear where teams go. The one-click Randomize option is still there for when you’d rather it be done for you.
- FixedBuilding playoff brackets by hand is more reliable — when you feed a game from another game’s winner or loser, the picker now offers only matchups that can actually happen, and keeps each tier separate in tiered brackets.
Playoff day, made shareable — plus a clearer game-day dashboard and Coaches Portal improvements
- NewClub and league admins can now see every assistant coach across all their teams in one place — including what each one is allowed to do and any invites still pending. You can also choose to approve new assistants yourself before they join a team.
- ImprovedYour team’s home screen in the Premium Coaches Portal now puts what matters right now up front — a setup checklist before the season, your next game as it gets close, the live score on game day, and your record once the season wraps. Your win-loss record now sits right at the top.
- ImprovedYou can now send yourself a test notification to check that alerts are reaching your phone. And if a notification doesn’t go through, we’ll let you know instead of it failing quietly.
- NewSetting your playoff bracket is now a moment. Your public tournament page switches to a Playoffs view with a countdown to the first game, and a shareable Playoff Picture lays out the seeding, the opening matchups, and each team’s key numbers. Fans following with score alerts on (Tournament Plus and above) get a one-time heads-up that the bracket is set — and so does your staff.
- NewYour game-day dashboard now sorts games into Now Playing, Up Next, and Needs a Score — so at a glance you can see what’s on, what’s coming next, and which finished games still need a score entered.
- FixedFixed turning on notifications for a tournament — switching it on now registers your device, so alerts actually reach your phone instead of quietly going nowhere.
- FixedFixed a Coaches Portal game-day view that could show the wrong time in some time zones.
Run your tryouts start to finish — and bring on assistant coaches
- NewIn the Premium Coaches Portal, you can now run tryouts from start to finish. Set up sessions and check players in on the day, then score candidates with more than one evaluator at once and watch results land on a live scoreboard. Families give their consent right as they register.
- NewWhen it’s time to decide, make your cuts on a tryout decision board and email offers — families accept or decline straight from the email, no login needed, and a waitlist keeps filling the spots that open up. Say yes to a player and they drop onto your roster, fees and all, in one click.
- NewAlso in the Premium Coaches Portal, you can now invite assistant coaches and decide exactly what each one can do — from schedule-only help to a full second-in-command. Team finances and families’ contact details stay private unless you choose to share them, so you can hand off the parts you want help with and keep the rest to yourself.
- ImprovedThe lineup tool now plans around who plays where. On a new depth chart, mark the positions each player handles best, can fill in, or shouldn’t play, and the auto-built lineup follows your call.
- ImprovedYou can now set an innings cap per pitcher to protect young arms — the lineup builder keeps a pitcher from going past their limit.
- FixedFixed a case where a pitcher’s innings cap could accidentally leave them on the bench.
- ImprovedFans following a team now see the same at-a-glance view on your public schedule and standings — next game, live score, and current standing — and can tap a game’s field to open directions.
- FixedThe tournament a fan adds to their phone’s home screen now shows the full event name and follows the phone’s rotation lock — it could previously trim the name or rotate against the lock.
- NewFans on a phone can now add your tournament to their home screen right from the event page — a “Get the app” link under the host name puts live scores one tap away.
- NewNotifications can now reach your phone. Turn them on in one tap and you’ll get an alert even when the app is closed — the moment a registration comes in, a payment lands, a score is posted, or a team’s a no-show. Choose exactly which events notify you, and quiet a tournament’s chat if it gets busy.
Set your lineup in a click — and get your tournament found
- NewIn the Premium Coaches Portal, the lineup tool now does the heavy lifting: auto-build a fair batting order and fielding positions, with a heads-up when two players land in the same spot or someone’s about to sit two innings in a row. Save a lineup to reuse next game, and print a full-page dugout sheet for the bench.
- ImprovedAlso in the Premium Coaches Portal, setting up a game, practice, or tournament now shows only the fields that matter for that event and names your games for you. Games can carry the details parents always ask about — arrival time, field or diamond number, and uniform — plus a location address that opens in maps and labelled links (a drill video, a rules page, a field map) you can attach to any event.
- NewThere’s now a public tournament finder where anyone can browse and search events by sport, location, and date. Listing is your choice — switch any tournament on (it’s off by default) and it links straight to your existing public page. It’s free.
- NewIn the Premium Coaches Portal, your team’s win–loss–tie record now sits right on the team overview. You decide which games count — league and tournament are in by default, scrimmages are out — and tap to see the breakdown.
- ImprovedThe Premium Coaches Portal’s schedule is far easier to use on a phone now — the week stacks day-by-day instead of scrolling sideways, buttons are bigger and easier to tap, and adding or editing a game is within thumb’s reach.
- ImprovedOn a tournament’s public playoff bracket, every upcoming game now shows its field or diamond, and tapping a game opens its full page — score, directions, and what’s on the line. The bracket also looks the same on the Standings page as on the Schedule, and a renamed field now shows its new name everywhere.
See what’s new — and edit your schedule
- NewThere’s now a “What’s New” button — and a public changelog page — so you can keep up with every improvement we ship without hunting for it.
- ImprovedIn the Coaches Portal, you can now edit a game or practice after it’s on the schedule — change the time, place, or opponent without deleting and re-adding it — and you’ll be asked to confirm before any unsaved edit is lost.
Install the app to your phone
- NewAdd FieldLogicHQ to your phone’s home screen straight from the admin menu — one tap to install, no app store needed.
Clearer live scores
- ImprovedOn the public live score display, long team names now wrap to two lines instead of being cut off, and the Share button is easier to reach.
Simpler Club plans, sharper branding
- NewClub now comes in two simple size bands, with portals for your whole coaching staff included — no per-team add-ons to track.
- NewChoose how large your logo sits inside your installed home-screen app icon, with a live preview as you adjust it.
- FixedTeam logos now appear correctly on installed app icons and branded public pages.
Better playoff brackets
- ImprovedPlayoff brackets lay out and connect correctly even for renamed or custom rounds — consistently across the admin view, the public site, and the printable PDF.
- ImprovedCustom round names you set now carry through everywhere your bracket appears.
Game-day reliability
- FixedRecording a forfeit now works reliably.
- FixedThe live game-day admin panel no longer shows false score-update alerts when you save a bracket.
